This record is for those who don't feel at home in their own era. Those who are tired of the performance of social media, the feigned success broadcast by algorithms, and the dehumanization of connections. We are those people too, and that's why we made this record. It was mixed by Barrett Jones, whose fingerprints are on some of the most important recordings in modern rock history, including work with Nirvana and early Foo Fighters. We weren't chasing a name. We wanted someone who understood what a record like this needs, and he delivered.
I was able to be at the live recording of the MTV unplugged acoustic set for Nirvana many years ago. The Rough Edges are like an updated version of Nirvana, but with their take and respect for this music.
